{"id":80757,"date":"2025-07-18T12:17:49","date_gmt":"2025-07-18T07:17:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=80757"},"modified":"2025-07-18T18:24:19","modified_gmt":"2025-07-18T13:24:19","slug":"pta-suspends-huaweis-license-for-vehicle-tracking-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/technology\/pta-suspends-huaweis-license-for-vehicle-tracking-services\/","title":{"rendered":"PTA suspends Huawei license for vehicle tracking services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/technology\/pta-blocks-over-163000-illegal-sims-in-countrywide-crackdown\/\">(PTA)<\/a> has revoked the license of Huawei Technologies Pakistan (Private) Limited related to tracking its vehicle fleet in the country, the authority said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, several reports alleged that the telecom authority suspended Huawei Pakistan\u2019s operational license in Pakistan for failing to meet mandatory regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n<p>However, the PTA issued a clarification, stating that Huawei Pakistan\u2019s overall service provision has not been suspended in the country, but the license for vehicle tracking services.<\/p>\n<p>The telecom regulator said that\u00a0Huawei Technologies (Private) Limited was granted Data CVAS <em>License No. DIR(L)\/CVAS-877-PTA\/2017<\/em>\u00a0for tracking its vehicle fleet in Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The company, however, did not commence the intended operations, and the license was accordingly suspended solely due to non-commencement of services,&#8221; and has no impact on any other operations provided by Huawei Technologies (Private) Limited to telecom operators in Pakistan.
