{"id":80837,"date":"2025-07-19T18:58:10","date_gmt":"2025-07-19T13:58:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=80837"},"modified":"2025-07-19T18:58:10","modified_gmt":"2025-07-19T13:58:10","slug":"pakistan-prolongs-airspace-ban-on-indian-flights-for-another-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pakistan-prolongs-airspace-ban-on-indian-flights-for-another-month\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan prolongs airspace ban on Indian flights for another month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has extended its airspace closure for <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/paf-shoots-down-two-indian-aircrafts-in-retaliation-attack\/\">Indian aircraft<\/a> for another month, effective from April 23.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pakistani-airline-takes-karachi-bound-passenger-mistakenly-to-jeddah\/\">Pakistan Airports Authority<\/a> has issued a fresh Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) confirming the extension.<\/p>\n<p>According to the NOTAM, Indian-registered airlines will be barred from using Pakistani airspace until August 23, with the ban officially ending at 4:59 am (Pakistan Standard Time) on August 24.<\/p>\n<p>The ban applies not only to Indian commercial flights but also to military and civilian aircraft owned or leased by India. The ban is comprehensive and prevents all types of Indian aircraft from entering or crossing Pakistani airspace.<\/p>\n<p>This marks the third consecutive one-month extension of the airspace closure since it was first imposed in April amid rising tensions between the two neighbours.<\/p>\n<p>It all started when India threatened to scrap the Indus Waters Treaty earlier this year, making baseless allegations of involvement in the Pahalgam incident.<\/p>\n<p>In retaliation, Pakistan closed its borders with Pakistan and closed its airspace to Indian flights.
