As per witnesses say the water level increased suddenly, and the driver had no opportunity to escape. The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/featured\/five-bodies-recovered-from-babusar-top-as-rescue-operation-continues\/\">rescue operation<\/a> is ongoing to retrieve the duo.<\/p>\n<p>One of the people on X identified as relative to the father-daughter took to his socials, praying for their safety, adding that more than three hours have elapsed since last contact was made.<\/p>\n<p>The recent monsoon spell has caused vast destruction in Punjab, with the Saidpur Village also experiencing a flash flood on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>NDMA on Tuesday reported that 221 individuals have died and over 500 others injured in accidents associated with nearly a month of continuous monsoon rains: &#8220;Since June 26 till July 21, 221 lives were lost, including 104 children and 40 women,&#8221; a spokesman said.<\/p>\n<p>Government officials had been searching for them for hours but could not find them.
