{"id":81321,"date":"2025-07-24T13:31:52","date_gmt":"2025-07-24T08:31:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=81321"},"modified":"2025-07-24T13:31:52","modified_gmt":"2025-07-24T08:31:52","slug":"m-tag-mandatory-for-entry-into-islamabad-says-cda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/m-tag-mandatory-for-entry-into-islamabad-says-cda\/","title":{"rendered":"M-tag mandatory for entry into Islamabad, says CDA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: In a major move to enhance traffic management and smoothen urban mobility, the Capital Development Authority (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/cda-removes-golden-hands-sculpture-in-islamabad-heres-why\/\">CDA<\/a>) has announced that M-tags are now mandatory for all vehicles entering Islamabad.<\/p>\n<p>It announced that vehicles without M-tags will no longer be allowed to enter the city.<\/p>\n<p>The decision was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, which reviewed several initiatives for digital traffic regulation and parking management.<\/p>\n<p>Under the new initiatives, digital parking systems and parking meters will be installed across Islamabad. The CDA chief added that a survey will be conducted to assess the volume of vehicles entering and exiting the city daily.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman Randhawa said that parking charges will be adjusted based on congestion levels with higher fees in high-traffic areas to discourage overcrowding and ensure efficient use of parking spaces.<\/p>\n<p>The CDA has already launched a digital parking system, and a mobile app or online platform will be introduced soon.<\/p>\n<p>Through this, citizens will be able to easily pay parking fees using QR codes or a mobile application.<\/p>\n<p>These initiatives aim to modernize Islamabad\u2019s urban infrastructure, promote digital payment solutions, and improve the overall travel experience for residents and visitors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: In a major move to enhance traffic management and smoothen urban mobility, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced that M-tags are now mandatory for all vehicles entering Islamabad.
