{"id":81380,"date":"2025-07-25T11:45:02","date_gmt":"2025-07-25T06:45:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=81380"},"modified":"2025-07-25T13:10:49","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T08:10:49","slug":"lahore-court-summons-imran-khan-in-zaman-park-police-attack-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/lahore-court-summons-imran-khan-in-zaman-park-police-attack-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Lahore court summons Imran Khan in Zaman Park police attack case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: A local court in Lahore has summoned former prime minister <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pti-founder-imran-khan-files-contempt-petition-against-prison-authorities\/\">Imran Khan<\/a> and issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Senate opposition leader Shibli Faraz in the case of an attack on Islamabad police outside the former&#8217;s Zaman Park residence.<\/p>\n<p>The case, registered at Lahore\u2019s Race Course police station in 2023, was heard at <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/bise-lahore-matric-result-2025-announced\/\">Lahore&#8217;s<\/a> Cantt Court today.<\/p>\n<p>During the hearing, the court issued a summons order for PTI founder through the jail authorities, as he is currently incarcerated in Rawalpindi&#8217;s Adiala Jail.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, the hearing of the case was adjourned till July 30.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, an Islamabad trial court on Thursday sentenced 10 PTI workers to six months in prison in three cases registered against them in connection with the November 26 protest.<\/p>\n<p>According to details, more than 100 PTI workers were named in these cases registered under the Peaceful Assembly and Public Order Act.<\/p>\n<p>Bushra Bibi, wife of former prime minister and PTI founder\u00a0Imran Khan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur were also named.<\/p>\n<p>Two of the three cases were registered in the federal capital\u2019s Ramna police station, while one was registered in Tarnol police station.<\/p>\n<p>The court had declared several accused as proclaimed offenders..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: A local court in Lahore has summoned former prime minister Imran Khan and issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Senate opposition leader Shibli Faraz in the case of an attack on Islamabad police outside the former&#8217;s Zaman Park residence.
