{"id":81479,"date":"2025-07-26T14:37:01","date_gmt":"2025-07-26T09:37:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=81479"},"modified":"2025-07-26T14:37:01","modified_gmt":"2025-07-26T09:37:01","slug":"ctd-conducts-successful-ibo-in-swat-kills-three-militants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/uncategorized\/ctd-conducts-successful-ibo-in-swat-kills-three-militants\/","title":{"rendered":"CTD conducts successful IBO in Swat, kills three militants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SWAT: The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/ctd-eliminates-five-terrorists-during-operation-in-balochistan\/\">Counter-Terrorism Department<\/a> of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has killed three militants in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Swat\u2019s Barikot area on Friday evening, according to a CTD official.<\/p>\n<p>The CTD launched the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/security-forces-foil-infiltration-bid-eliminate-30-terrorists-near-pak-afghan-border\/\">operation<\/a> at 7 PM after receiving the information on the presence of terrorists in the Parrai area of Ghaligay, according to District Police Officer (DPO) Swat Umar Khan Gandapur.<\/p>\n<p>All three of the militants were killed as the police responded to the terrorists&#8217; fire. The terrorist of Afghan descent was sought in nine terrorism crimes, according to DPO Gundapur, while the other two were each implicated in two instances.<\/p>\n<p>Hand grenades, Kalashnikov rifles, and handguns were among the recovered items. To track down their colleagues, the police have confiscated the terrorists&#8217; cell phones, and a search is being conducted to find any surviving accomplices.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the militant involved in the attack on District Police Officer\u00a0(DPO) Muhammad Khalid Khan was killed in a police operation on Saturday in the Naryab area of Hangu.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0terrorist\u00a0involved in the attack on the DPO was killed by firing from his own accomplices, the police said.<\/p>\n<p>The event follows an intense gunfight between terrorists and security officials in the Shinawari Zargari neighborhood of Hangu on July 19.<\/p>\n<p>DPO Khalid, who was in charge of the operation, was taken to Peshawar for medical attention after being shot three times during the fight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SWAT: The Counter-Terrorism Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has killed three militants in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Swat\u2019s Barikot area on Friday evening, according to a CTD official.
