{"id":81730,"date":"2025-07-29T14:25:48","date_gmt":"2025-07-29T09:25:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=81730"},"modified":"2025-07-29T14:25:48","modified_gmt":"2025-07-29T09:25:48","slug":"petrol-price-in-pakistan-expected-to-drop-from-august-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/petrol-price-in-pakistan-expected-to-drop-from-august-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Petrol price in Pakistan expected to drop from August 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"td_block_wrap tdb_single_content tdi_40 td-pb-border-top td_block_template_1 td-post-content tagdiv-type\" data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_40\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p>ISLAMABAD: The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/petrol-price-hiked-by-rs5-36-diesel-up-by-rs11-37-per-litre\/\">prices of petrol and diesel<\/a> are expected to decrease in Pakistan over the next fortnight, starting from August 1, 2025, as the prices have dipped in the global market.<\/p>\n<p>According to a note by Arif Habib Limited (AHL), a securities brokerage firm, the decline is expected to be Rs 6.82 per liter for <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/petrol-prices-likely-to-rise-in-pakistan-check-expected-rates-inside\/\">petrol\/Motor Spirit (MS)<\/a> and Rs 1.68 per liter for High-Speed Diesel (HSD).<\/p>\n<p class=\"av-ads\">The report stated that the federal government is expected to provide relief after mutilpe hikes over the past couple of months.<\/p>\n<p class=\"av-ads\">According to the report, the average price of Brent oil for the period 16th to 31st July 2025 was recorded at $68.75 per barrel, while WTI averaged $65.98 per barrel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"av-ads\">Additionally, the exchange rate stood at Rs284.25 per USD for this period, reflecting a slight change of 0.1% from the previous period.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Current Petrol Prices in Pakistan<\/h2>\n<p>As of July 2025, the federal government has fixed the petrol price at Rs. 272.15 per liter and diesel at Rs284.35.<\/p>\n<p>On July 16, the government raised petrol prices for the next two weeks by Rs 5.36 per litre and high-speed diesel by Rs 11.37 per litre.<\/p>\n<p>The new prices will be annoucned after a summary outlining the suggested price revisions will be submitted to the Prime Minister&#8217;s Office on Thursday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The prices of petrol and diesel are expected to decrease in Pakistan over the next fortnight, starting from August 1, 2025, as the prices have dipped in the global market.
