{"id":82007,"date":"2025-08-01T14:57:33","date_gmt":"2025-08-01T09:57:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=82007"},"modified":"2025-08-01T14:57:33","modified_gmt":"2025-08-01T09:57:33","slug":"eobi-raises-pension-by-15-for-registered-workers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/eobi-raises-pension-by-15-for-registered-workers\/","title":{"rendered":"EOBI raises pension by 15% for registered workers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: A substantial relief package, including a 15% rise in <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/govt-likely-to-increase-salaries-pensions-in-budget-for-fiscal-year-2025-26\/\">pensions<\/a>, has been announced by the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis for registered employees under the Employees&#8217; Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI).<\/p>\n<p>According to the government, the marriage award for workers has been doubled, representing a 100% rise, while the death grant has been increased by 50%.<\/p>\n<p>The government noted that these steps demonstrate Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain&#8217;s dedication to the welfare of the labor community.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the federal cabinet had approved a 15 per cent hike in pensions\u00a0for Employees\u2019 Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) pensioners, starting from January 1, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The government said that the increase is aimed at providing financial relief to retired senior citizens, relying on these pensions.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the performance of ministries will be evaluated every two months.
