ISLAMABAD: Political leaders from various opposition parties have voiced their positions on the Movement to Protect the Constitution of Pakistan, as debates over democracy, public rights, and the May 9 incidents continue to dominate the national political landscape.<\/p>\n
Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, speaking on ABN News\u2019 program Debate @ 8<\/em><\/a>, described the Movement to Protect the Constitution as a joint alliance of opposition parties, emphasizing that its roadmap and declaration were unanimously agreed upon.<\/p>\n He announced that the alliance will hold protests, press conferences, seminars, and communication campaigns across the country to highlight public issues and demand constitutional supremacy.<\/p>\n “<\/em>Every citizen is facing difficulties. The constitution and law have disappeared, the parliament and judiciary have become ineffective, and institutions have lost their worth,” Abbas said.<\/p>\n He added that August 5 will mark nationwide protests, and warned that Pakistan\u2019s integrity depends on the rule of law.<\/p>\n He criticized the targeting of the PTI founder<\/a>, calling the demand for an apology over May 9 frivolous, and questioned why those who repeatedly violated the constitution are not held accountable.<\/p>\n
