{"id":82345,"date":"2025-08-05T17:47:25","date_gmt":"2025-08-05T12:47:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=82345"},"modified":"2025-08-05T17:47:25","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T12:47:25","slug":"govt-to-launch-subsidized-electric-bikes-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/automobile\/govt-to-launch-subsidized-electric-bikes-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"Govt to launch subsidized electric bikes scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Cabinet&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/ecc-approves-reduction-in-solar-net-metering-rates\/\">Economic Coordination Committee<\/a> (ECC) on Tuesday endorsed a summary presented by the Ministry of Industries and Production for the implementation of a subsidy scheme for the promotion of electric bikes and rickshaws adoption.<\/p>\n<p>The ECC session, presided over by Federal Minister for Finance Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, acceded to the summary.<\/p>\n<p>A provision of Rs. 9 billion has already been made in the budget for FY 2025-26 to cover this project. The scheme also involves the issuance of free electric bikes to outstanding students of government colleges.<\/p>\n<p>According to the sanctioned plan, 116,000 electric bikes and 3,170 electric rickshaws\/loaders will be launched in two phases.
