ISLAMABAD: In ABN News’ program “Sawaal se Age”, PTI leader<\/a> Umair Niazi and PML-N leader Ikhtiar Wali openly discussed the country’s politics, legislation, and the events of May 9.<\/p>\n

Umair Niazi said that the recent decisions and legislation made for 90 days are not just temporary, but have completely exposed the government’s governance style.<\/p>\n

According to him, the rapid reduction in political space is not a coincidence but the result of a well-thought-out policy. He alleged that the independence of the judiciary was targeted through the 26th Constitutional Amendment<\/a>, which was an unconstitutional move.<\/p>\n

He was of the view that if every institution remained within its limits, balance and stability in the country would be possible.<\/p>\n

He further pointed out that the investigation into the Rs 300 billion sugar scandal has not yet begun, which casts a question mark on the claims of transparent accountability.<\/p>\n

According to him, if the government takes accountability seriously, it should take the initiative itself.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, PML-N senior leader Ikhtiar Wali in the conversation described the incidents as a dark chapter in the country’s history, he said there was no ambiguity over those responsible for the incident.<\/p>\n

According to him, videos, evidence, and testimonies clearly show that the second-tier leadership of the PTI and people close to the founder PTI were directly involved in the incident.<\/p>\n

He claimed that only PTI workers were arrested on May 9, because they were the only ones present at the scene. He said that moral and political authority demands that the nation not be misled by the incident, but accept the facts.<\/p>\n

Ikhtiar Wali also admitted that although the testimonies of the cases keep getting controversial with time, it is not possible to deny the incident.
