{"id":83032,"date":"2025-08-13T15:42:49","date_gmt":"2025-08-13T10:42:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=83032"},"modified":"2025-08-13T16:04:49","modified_gmt":"2025-08-13T11:04:49","slug":"pm-laptop-scheme-2025-heres-how-to-apply-for-free-laptops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/pm-laptop-scheme-2025-heres-how-to-apply-for-free-laptops\/","title":{"rendered":"PM Laptop scheme 2025: Here&#8217;s how to apply for free laptops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced the distribution of a hundred thousand <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/cm-punjab-laptop-scheme-students-to-get-laptops-after-ramadan-2025\/\">laptops<\/a> among students across Pakistan on merit.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement was made by the Prime Minister on International Youth Day in Islamabad on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The laptops will be allocated to students from all four provinces, the federal capital, Gilgit Baltistan, and AJK.<\/p>\n<p>The Prime Minister said these laptops will be apart from the scheme for laptops through interest-based loans.<\/p>\n<h2>Eligibility Criteria:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be enrolled in any programme (PhD, MS\/MPhil, Master\u2019s\/ Bachelor&#8217;s)<\/li>\n<li>CGPA of 2.80 or 60% marks<\/li>\n<li>Intermediate marks (in case of first semester)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to Apply:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Prime Minister\u2019s Digital Youth Hub (DYH) mobile application<\/li>\n<li>PM Youth Programme website: www.pmyp.gov.pk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There is a quota system for the distribution of laptops, with 18% reserved for students in Balochistan\u2019s higher education institutions and 5% for distance learning students.<\/p>\n<h2>Free PM Laptops Awarded so Far:<\/h2>\n<p>Meanwhile, 600,000 laptops have been awarded to the students on merit as of now, according to Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Programme (PMYP) Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan.<\/p>\n<p>334,556 were given to male students and 265,444 to female students. The figures were 58,000 for females and 42,000 for males in the year 2024 only.<\/p>\n<p>The scheme has benefited 247,389 students in Punjab, 107,034 in Sindh, 76,094 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 30,513 in Balochistan.<\/p>\n<p>112,270 laptops in the Federal Capital, 9,290 in the erstwhile FATA area, and 14,312 in Azad Jammu &amp; Kashmir have been given so far, according to the details.<\/p>\n<p>During the occasion, Prime Minister Youth Program chairman Rana Mashhood stated that the government&#8217;s merit-based programs for youth had helped brilliant and worthy students to thrive in their lives.<\/p>\n<p>He cited other major schemes that continue to help thousands of students complete their education, such as the Pakistan Education Endowment Scheme, the Pakistan Daanish Authority, and the Prime Minister&#8217;s Laptop Scheme.<\/p>\n<p>The scheme, launched in 2014, awarded laptops to students across the country with a Grade Point Average (GPA) above 3.0.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced the distribution of a hundred thousand laptops among students across Pakistan on merit.
