KUWAIT: Kuwait has announced one of its most sweeping visa reforms in decades, opening its doors to visitors from almost every country in the world, with Israel remaining the only country to be banned under an emiri decree explicitly citing a state of war.<\/p>\n

In a presentation titled \u201cKuwait Visa Platform<\/a>\u2026 New Entry Visas,\u201d Colonel Abdulaziz Al-Kandari of the General Department of Residency outlined a four-tier visa system that takes effect immediately.<\/p>\n

The policy maintains Kuwait\u2019s 1964 emiri decree declaring war on Israel, making it the only nationality explicitly banned from entry.<\/p>\n

The newly created program introduces streamlined digital applications through the \u201cKuwait Visa\u201d platform, with eligibility varying by nationality and occupation:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

  2. GCC residents and professionals<\/strong>:Residents of Gulf Cooperation Council countries and professionals with financial solvency from approved nations qualify, provided they present valid residency proof and meet passport requirements.<\/li>\n
  3. Financial solvency route<\/strong>\u00a0(pending implementation):Visitors from non-listed countries may apply by demonstrating financial means through bank statements, hotel bookings, and a refundable security deposit.<\/li>\n
  4. Event-specific visas<\/strong>:Tailored visas for international conferences and local events, with requirements adjusted case-by-case.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n

    • Business visas<\/strong>: Issued for corporate invitations, valid for single 30-day stays or multiple entries over 1 year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n
