{"id":83522,"date":"2025-08-19T12:59:21","date_gmt":"2025-08-19T07:59:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=83522"},"modified":"2025-08-19T12:59:21","modified_gmt":"2025-08-19T07:59:21","slug":"sc-defers-hearing-on-imran-khans-bail-petitions-to-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/sc-defers-hearing-on-imran-khans-bail-petitions-to-tomorrow\/","title":{"rendered":"SC defers hearing on Imran Khan&#8217;s bail petitions to tomorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/cjp-yahya-afridi-summons-supreme-judicial-council-meeting-on-july-12\/\">Supreme Court<\/a> has adjourned the hearing of 8 bail applications filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan till tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>A 3-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, including Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb and Justice Shafi Siddiqui, heard Imran Khan\u2019s applications.<\/p>\n<p>PTI founder Salman Safdar appeared during the hearing. Chief Justice Yahya Afridi remarked that he could not see some of the documents submitted by the accused.<\/p>\n<p>On this occasion, the Chief Justice said that it would be better to adjourn the hearing of the case until 11:30 tomorrow so that all parties get a chance.<\/p>\n<p>Lawyer Imran Khan explained that the documents submitted only include court decisions; however, the Chief Justice said that it is necessary to review all the documents, and whichever party has to present any material should submit it today.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the Chief Justice directed that the prosecution also review the documents submitted by the PTI founder.
