{"id":83663,"date":"2025-08-20T15:50:32","date_gmt":"2025-08-20T10:50:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=83663"},"modified":"2025-08-20T15:50:32","modified_gmt":"2025-08-20T10:50:32","slug":"punjab-to-launch-cm-punjab-e-taxi-scheme-2025-detail-inside","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/automobile\/punjab-to-launch-cm-punjab-e-taxi-scheme-2025-detail-inside\/","title":{"rendered":"Punjab to launch &#8216;CM Punjab E-Taxi Scheme 2025&#8217;, detail inside"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The Punjab Government has launched the &#8220;CM Punjab E-Taxi Scheme 2025,&#8221; under which more than 1,000 e-taxis will be provided on easy and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/cm-punjab-launches-honhaar-scholarship-program-heres-how-to-apply\/\">interest-free\u00a0loans.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The plan, led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, is set to officially launch in August 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The government is set to achieve three goals from the Scheme.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To modernise transport in Punjab<\/li>\n<li>To create new jobs<\/li>\n<li>To reduce pollution in major cities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Punjab Transport Department has confirmed that applications will be managed through an online portal built by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).<\/p>\n<p>A total of\u00a0 30 electric taxis will be reserved for women.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure that drivers only pay the bare minimum, the government will also cover the markup, token tax, and registration costs.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How to Apply for CM Punjab E-Taxi Scheme 2025<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Applicants will need to use the PITB-supported online portal to apply for the CM Punjab E-Taxi Scheme 2025 when it becomes live. The steps are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0CNIC, driving licence, and proof of residency in Punjab.<\/li>\n<li>Fleet owners must also provide company details and SECP or NTN registration.<\/li>\n<li>Create an account on the portal and fill in the e-taxi application form.<\/li>\n<li>Select whether you are applying as an individual driver or a fleet owner.<\/li>\n<li>Choose the instalment plan and check the payment schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Submit the form and wait for eligibility checks.<\/li>\n<li>If approved, applicants will receive an offer letter with details on vehicle delivery and training.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One hundred cabs will be distributed to individual drivers and 1,000 to fleet owners in the first phase of the E-Taxi Scheme 2025. Thirty of these cabs are designated for female passengers.<\/p>\n<p>Electric sedans and hatchbacks with a range of up to 300 kilometers between charges are anticipated among the cars.<\/p>\n<p>In order to maintain the seamless operation of the cabs, the\u00a0 Scheme will also install solar-powered charging stations and servicing centers.
