ISLAMABAD: Senior Political Analyst Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami<\/a> said that protests on the streets and ongoing campaigns on social media have further exacerbated the problems in the country.<\/p>\n

If the parties adopt the behavior of a normal political party and avoid venting their anger against each other, the situation can improve.<\/p>\n

The leaders of all major parties, including the PTI, should focus on strengthening the parliamentary process so that the democratic system is not further damaged, he added.<\/p>\n

“If all political forces sit at one table and put the bitterness of the past behind them, not only will political stability be created, but public confidence will also be restored.<\/p>\n

Some leaders believe that it may seem difficult to apologize at this time, but it is important for the collective interest of Pakistan that everyone acknowledges their mistakes and forgives each other, and moves forward.” He noted.<\/p>\n

If politicians want to move forward seriously, they must adopt the path of reconciliation and forgiveness.<\/p>\n

The bitterness over the May events and the subsequent punishments meted out to political activists have made the atmosphere even more tense, but now the demand is gaining momentum that forgiving each other and putting the national interest first is the only solution to move forward.<\/p>\n

The judiciary can still play an important role. If the courts are successful in implementing their decisions, a transparent path can open for the political process.<\/p>\n

There have been many occasions in the past when the judiciary established political balance through its independence and autonomy.<\/p>\n

Similarly, today too, there is a need for all institutions to fulfill their responsibilities within the ambit of the constitution and law.<\/p>\n

Reports by some think tanks have suggested that democracy cannot be strengthened without political reforms.<\/p>\n

To bridge the growing divide among political leaders, it is essential that all parties show a big heart and look to the future rather than repeating the mistakes of the past.
\nIt is time for leadership to move forward with prudence, wisdom, and tolerance to give the country a stable and democratic future.<\/p>\n
