{"id":84158,"date":"2025-08-26T22:00:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-26T17:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=84158"},"modified":"2025-08-26T22:00:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-26T17:00:09","slug":"govt-makes-digital-payment-solutions-mandatory-for-businesses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/govt-makes-digital-payment-solutions-mandatory-for-businesses\/","title":{"rendered":"Govt makes digital payment solutions mandatory for businesses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/secp-warns-against-fraudulent-summit-4x-trade-summit-ah-experts\/\">SECP<\/a>) has instructed all of its licensed institutions to implement and exhibit digital payment solutions, especially Raast QR Code, at their business locations.<\/p>\n<p>By way of a directive,<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pm-shehbaz-unviels-10m-digital-wallets-for-bisp-beneficiaries\/\"> digital payment<\/a> solutions shall be adopted by all entities regulated by SECP, such as Non-Banking Finance Companies (NBFCs), Insurance Companies, Modarabas, Securities Brokers, and other market intermediaries licensed by the SECP.<\/p>\n<p>Digital payments cannot be declined by these entities at their outlets, and visibility must be maintained at their outlets. The directive shall be complied with by October 31, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The SECP drive aligns with the country&#8217;s vision to encourage a cashless economy and build Pakistan&#8217;s digital payment infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>SECP is also perfectly in sync with the State Bank of Pakistan&#8217;s push for digitisation.
