the statement reads.<\/p>\n<h2>Current water flow of rivers<\/h2>\n<p>According to the Flood Forecasting Division (FFD) Lahore <a href=\"https:\/\/ffd.pmd.gov.pk\/home\">data<\/a>, as of the latest reading, a very high flood of 512,885\u00a0cusecs is passing through the River Chenab at Marala, with the falling trend of water inflow.<\/p>\n<p>River Chenab at the Qadirabad and Khanki headworks are in &#8220;exceptionally high flood&#8221; with outflow of 963,825\u00a0and 1,052,100\u00a0cusec, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>In an emergency alert, NDMA reported a s<span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3 r-nhe8su r-yn5ncy r-clrlgt r-nvplwv\">evere flood situation in Chenab at Khanki Headworks as the water flow has exceeded the designed capacity of 8 lakh cusecs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3 r-nhe8su r-yn5ncy r-clrlgt r-nvplwv\">&#8220;Due to the severe flood surge, the hydraulic structure of the headworks may sustain damage,&#8221;
