{"id":84361,"date":"2025-08-29T16:22:28","date_gmt":"2025-08-29T11:22:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=84361"},"modified":"2025-08-29T16:22:37","modified_gmt":"2025-08-29T11:22:37","slug":"joint-strategy-being-prepared-to-tackle-climate-change-pm-shehbaz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/joint-strategy-being-prepared-to-tackle-climate-change-pm-shehbaz\/","title":{"rendered":"Joint strategy being prepared to tackle climate change: PM Shehbaz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday said that a comprehensive strategy is being prepared for the construction of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/featured\/water-reservoirs-need-of-hour-says-pm-in-flood-hit-areas\/\">water reservoirs<\/a> and improved water management in all four provinces, Azad Jammu &amp; Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that water reservoirs would be built through consultation and complete coordination with the provinces.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Climate change is a reality, and only through effective preparedness can the damages of natural disasters be minimized,&#8221; he stressed.<\/p>\n<p>He further underlined that all provinces, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the Federation must work together to safeguard people from the adverse impacts of climate change, terming it a national issue that requires collective effort.<\/p>\n<p>According to the prime minister\u2019s office, work is already underway on his directives to formulate an effective policy for a timely response to the impacts of climate change and the monsoon.
