TIAJIN: Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif<\/a> on Sunday addressed the faculty and students at Tianjin University and called for deeper cooperation between Pakistan and China in education, technology and vocational training.<\/p>\n

He stressed that Pakistan\u2019s youth must be equipped with modern skills, especially artificial intelligence (AI), to drive future development.<\/p>\n

The prime minister said that Pakistan\u2019s youth need training in AI and modern technology, adding that vocational training is the \u201cneed of the hour.\u201d He urged Tianjin University to partner with Pakistan to strengthen training programs that can help transform challenges into opportunities.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur students are the true ambassadors of Pakistan in China,\u201d Sharif remarked, encouraging them to actively promote the Pak-China friendship that has \u201cstood the test of time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Student Exchanges & Agricultural Cooperation<\/h2>\n

Sharif highlighted that currently over 30,000 Pakistani students are studying in Chinese universities, including over 200 at Tianjin University.<\/p>\n

He said that his government has sent 1,000 agricultural graduates to China with the aim of advancing Pakistan\u2019s agricultural sector through modern education.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese students will be the backbone of our agricultural transformation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The prime minister reiterated Pakistan\u2019s commitment to strengthening ties with China, emphasizing partnership with Chinese companies and coordination for shared development goals. Sharif said that Pakistan and China will achieve progress together, no one can separate us.<\/p>\n

He praised China\u2019s development model, saying that the country has become the world\u2019s largest economy not through speeches but through actions. He added that Pakistan fully supports the vision of Chinese President Xi Jinping.<\/p>\n

Sharif concluded his speech by emphasizing that Pakistan is proud of its historic ties with China – from being the first Muslim country to recognize Beijing to supporting its rise as a global economic and military power.
