{"id":85016,"date":"2025-09-04T14:30:23","date_gmt":"2025-09-04T09:30:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=85016"},"modified":"2025-09-04T14:30:23","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T09:30:23","slug":"38-dead-31-injured-in-azad-kashmir-rain-related-incidents-since-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/38-dead-31-injured-in-azad-kashmir-rain-related-incidents-since-june\/","title":{"rendered":"38 dead, 31 injured in Azad Kashmir rain-related incidents since June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD (By Rizwan Abbasi): A total of 38 people have died and 31 have been injured due to various <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/ndma-releases-fresh-report-on-rain-and-flood-damages-across-pakistan\/\">rain-related incidents<\/a> in Azad Kashmir since June 1, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>According to the AJK State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) report, available with <em>Daily Ausaf<\/em>, 2278 houses have been affected so far, many of which have completely collapsed.<\/p>\n<p>As the devastation continues with monsoon rains and floods across the country, the SDMA has predicted more rains in the next 24 hours in Azad Kashmir, alerting of flash flooding and landslides in mountainous regions.<\/p>\n<p>As per the latest data, around 60 shops have been destroyed and 238 livestock have been killed so far across the state.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to that, the monsoon rains also caused severe damage to infrastructure, as 26 power generation houses have been affected. The communication system has also been affected, with 100 km of C&amp;W roads, 232 km of LG&amp;RD roads, 79 bridges, and 124 water supply schemes.<\/p>\n<p>According to the district-wise report, 2 people have died, 5 have been injured, and more than 125 houses have been affected in Muzaffarabad district.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, Jhelum Valley district witnessed one death and 21 completely and 124 partially destroyed houses.<\/p>\n<p>In Neelum Valley, 180 animals were killed and 15 infrastructure sites were affected, with 5 deaths. In Bagh, 2 people died, while 28 houses were completely and 109 were partially destroyed.<\/p>\n<p>One death and 102 houses were completely and 392 were partially affected in Poonch district.<\/p>\n<p>In Sudhanoti, one death, 67 houses were completely and 413 were partially destroyed. In Haveli, 3 people died, while 34 houses were completely and 456 were partially affected.<\/p>\n<p>While 2 deaths, 25 houses were completely and 310 were partially affected in Kotli district.<\/p>\n<p>In Bhimber, one death and 47 houses were affected, while in Mirpur, 2 people died and 9 houses were completely destroyed.<\/p>\n<p>According to the disaster authority, the flow of the River Jhelum was recorded at 14,001 cusecs at Chakothi, the River Neelum at 619 cusecs at Karimabad, and the River Poonch at Kotli was recorded at 7,219 cusecs.<\/p>\n<p>The SDMA has clarified that all main highways in Azad Kashmir are open for all types of traffic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD (By Rizwan Abbasi): A total of 38 people have died and 31 have been injured due to various rain-related incidents in Azad Kashmir since June 1, 2025.
