{"id":85055,"date":"2025-09-04T23:47:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-04T18:47:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=85055"},"modified":"2025-09-04T23:47:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T18:47:10","slug":"govt-to-discontinue-bs-programs-in-colleges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/govt-to-discontinue-bs-programs-in-colleges\/","title":{"rendered":"Govt to discontinue BS Programs in colleges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department issued a notification declaring the halt of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/kp-announces-replacement-of-bs-programs-with-associate-degree\/\">BS programs<\/a> in government colleges of the province.<\/p>\n<p>The notification stated that a majority of subjects taught under BS programs have been termed unnecessary, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pm-sharif-sharif-stronger-pak-china-cooperation-in-ai-education\/\">Associate Degree<\/a> (AD) programs will be launched in their stead.<\/p>\n<p>The department said that the number of students enrolling in BS programs has been low, with a very high dropout rate, and so the decision was taken.<\/p>\n<p>The notification also stated that multiple subjects have been closed in 36 colleges, and the list is detailed.
