Reports indicate the bear mauled her, causing severe injuries to just her arms.<\/p>\n<p>Muhammad Ibrahim John, her driver, Shahbaz, her photographer &amp; other locals present at the scene bravely intervened to fend off the bear, saving her life. She was given initial first aid on the spot.<\/p>\n<p>The driver swiftly transported her to the DHQ hospital in Skardu for emergency treatment.<\/p>\n<p>After thorough examination, she has been discharged, and she is stable now.<\/p>\n<p>Deosai National Park is a protected habitat for the Himalayan brown bear. The incident prompted authorities to reiterate safety guidelines for visitors to Deosai and other wildlife areas.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Avoiding travel on foot, especially at dawn, dusk, and night, when bears are most active.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Making noise while walking to avoid surprising wildlife.<\/li>\n<li>Properly storing and disposing of food prevents attracting bears.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Camping only in designated, safe areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Deosai National Park is one of the highest-altitude plateaus in the world and is a critical conservation area for the endangered Himalayan brown bear.
