{"id":85099,"date":"2025-09-05T14:17:17","date_gmt":"2025-09-05T09:17:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=85099"},"modified":"2025-09-05T14:17:17","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T09:17:17","slug":"25-pti-mnas-yet-to-resign-from-na-standing-committees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/25-pti-mnas-yet-to-resign-from-na-standing-committees\/","title":{"rendered":"25 PTI MNAs yet to resign from NA standing committees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: More than twenty (20) members of the National Assembly from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/umair-niazi-discusses-ptis-stance-on-ravi-river-development\/\">PTI<\/a>) have yet to step down from their positions in standing committees.<\/p>\n<p>As of now, 52 members have submitted their resignations to the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/na-speaker-approves-resignations-of-43-more-pti-mnas\/\">Speaker&#8217;s office<\/a>, with five more resignations submitted recently.<\/p>\n<p>According to media reports, several MNAs, including Sohail Sultan, Muhammad Nawaz Khan, Muhammad Atif, Sher Ali Arbab, Osama Ahmed Mela, and Ghulam Muhammad, continue to serve on various committees.<\/p>\n<p>Muhammad Saadullah, Umar Farooq, Muhammad Mehboob Sultan, Khawaja Sheeraz, Ayesha Nazir, Mian Ghaus Muhammad, and Fayyaz Hussain are yet to tender their resignations.<\/p>\n<p>Former Prime Minister Imran Khan had instructed all the PTI National Assembly Members to resign from the standing committees.<\/p>\n<p>However, no official action has been taken by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, on the matter of resignations.<\/p>\n<p>PTI has also announced a boycott of the National Assembly proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>PTI Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram rejected the report, adding that &#8220;the list of 25 lawmakers is wrong, as 8 to 10 members are out of the country, some have gone for Umrah, a few are unwell, and there is also information that around eight more tendered resignations today.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: More than twenty (20) members of the National Assembly from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have yet to step down from their positions in standing committees.
