{"id":85473,"date":"2025-09-09T20:29:00","date_gmt":"2025-09-09T15:29:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=85473"},"modified":"2025-09-09T20:29:00","modified_gmt":"2025-09-09T15:29:00","slug":"atc-acquits-sm-qureshi-sentences-key-pti-leaders-in-may-9-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/atc-acquits-sm-qureshi-sentences-key-pti-leaders-in-may-9-case\/","title":{"rendered":"ATC acquits SM Qureshi, sentences key PTI leaders in May 9 case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/court-grants-bail-to-sher-shah-in-jinnah-house-case\/\">Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court<\/a> has delivered another verdict in the cases related to the May 9 incidents, here on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi was acquitted while several key party leaders have been sentenced to jail terms.<\/p>\n<p>According to the verdict, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Senator Ejaz Chaudhry, Omar Sarfaraz Cheema and Mian Mahmood Rashid were sentenced to 10 years in prison each in the case of setting fire to an official vehicle near Jinnah House, while<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/court-grants-bail-to-sher-shah-in-jinnah-house-case\/\"> Khadija Shah<\/a> was sentenced to 5 years in prison.<\/p>\n<p>The verdict was delivered by ATC Judge Manzar Ali Gul, which was earlier reserved.
