{"id":85664,"date":"2025-09-11T17:28:06","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T12:28:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=85664"},"modified":"2025-09-11T17:28:06","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T12:28:06","slug":"ticket-prices-slashed-for-pakistan-india-asia-cup-clash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/sports\/ticket-prices-slashed-for-pakistan-india-asia-cup-clash\/","title":{"rendered":"Ticket prices slashed for Pakistan-India Asia Cup clash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DUBAI: Ticket prices for the Pakistan-India match in the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/sports\/india-pakistan-asia-cup-match-challenged-in-indian-supreme-court\/\">Asia Cup<\/a> have been slashed.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, ticket sales for the Pakistan-India match to be held in Dubai on September 14 are on, but the demand for tickets is lower than expected.<\/p>\n<p>After the decrease in ticket demand, the organizers have reduced the ticket prices, and now the ticket price for the Pakistan-India match has been reduced from 475 dirhams to 350 dirhams.<\/p>\n<p>According to officials, most of the tickets for the premium enclosure are still empty, and the organizers are trying to sell all the tickets before the match.<\/p>\n<p>It should be noted that cricket fans had complained about the high cost of tickets for the Pakistan-India match.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Supreme Court of India on Thursday refused an urgent hearing on a petition seeking cancellation of the Pakistan-India Asia Cup match\u00a0scheduled for September 14 in Dubai,\u00a0<em>NDTV<\/em>\u00a0reported.<\/p>\n<p>The bench, consisting of justices JK Maheshwari and Vijay Bishnoi, refused to hear the public interest litigation (PIL) filed by four law students, saying it\u2019s just a match.<\/p>\n<p>The PIL argued that playing Pakistan so soon after the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor would send a message inconsistent with national dignity and public sentiment.<\/p>\n<p>The petition further contended that cricket could not be placed above national security, citizens\u2019 lives, or the sacrifices of soldiers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMatch is this Sunday? What can we do about that? Let it be. The match should go on,\u201d Justice Maheshwari observed during the brief hearing.<\/p>\n<p>The petitioners\u2019 counsel urged that the plea at least be listed for consideration, regardless of its merit.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Bench declined the request for urgent listing and reiterated that the match would proceed as scheduled.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DUBAI: Ticket prices for the Pakistan-India match in the Asia Cup have been slashed.
