Registration and verification of 80,000 new farmers have been done, while <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/featured\/chenab-river-embankment-near-rivaz-bridge-breached-to-save-jhang\/\">Sindh Bank<\/a> will issue 50,000 cards by this month-end. Each 20 days, 50,000 cards will be released.<\/p>\n<p>The minister clarified that under the Hari Card, the farmers will get subsidies and financial support. He also unveiled that the government has also planned to give subsidies for shifting drip irrigation systems to solar panels.<\/p>\n<p>Small and medium farmers who own 5 to 25 acres of land will be eligible to get subsidized solar power panels. Total 295 solar units will be installed on 4,000 acres of land through this scheme.<\/p>\n<p>Farmers will pay 20 percent of the cost through the cost-sharing system, while the remaining 80 per cent will be paid by the Sindh government.<\/p>\n<p>The spokesman further said that farmers can forward their applications to the Hyderabad office by September 20.<\/p>\n<p>It is relevant to note that the PPP chairman in his election campaign on January 18 announced to awarding a &#8220;Kisan Card&#8221; for relief of the farmers on the pattern of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to a public rally in relation to the General Elections 2024 in Naushahro Feroze, the PPP chairman assured that his party will set up the federal as well as the Sindh government with the people&#8217;s support.<\/p>\n<p>He added that once he became the prime minister, he would double the basic pay.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: Sindh government has come up with the decision of distributing Benazir Hari Card to thousands of newly enrolled farmers from the province, Sindh&#8217;s Agriculture Minister said on Thursday.
