ISLAMABAD: The internet outage<\/a> hit Pakistan on Wednesday afternoon, as major service tracking websites have reported a possible disruption from service providers nationwide.<\/p>\n

Downdetector, a global service monitoring website, showed that hundreds of users indicate a problem with PTCL and Nayatel, two major internet service providers in the country.<\/p>\n

The website showed that 163 reports were received about the PTCL service outage from users in Pakistan at 3:29 pm.<\/p>\n

Similarly, the Downdetector also indicated problems with Nayatel as 180 users reported complaints at 3:16 pm.<\/p>\n

“We are experiencing a nationwide internet slowdown due to an outage in one of our two upstream providers. This issue is impacting a major part of internet traffic across Pakistan,” Nayatel wrote on X.<\/p>\n

The service providers said that they are actively monitoring the situation and working closely with the provider.<\/p>\n
