ISLAMABAD: Mahmood Khan Achakzai<\/a> stated that the country requires a coherent political agenda at this time, on which all parties can agree, and the constitution should be maintained with the same supremacy as it was previously.<\/p>\n

He said that there may be constitutional differences, but for now, every political force will have to recognize the constitution, and a party that does not agree on this basis will not be considered a political party.<\/p>\n

These things came to the fore on key issues such as transparent elections, the rule of law, and voter rights. Achakzai stressed that the elections will be fair and transparent, and whoever wins will come to power; there will be no discrimination on the basis of women or men, while the constitution will be equally applicable to all.<\/p>\n

Referring to the serious crisis facing the country, he stressed the need to convene a joint meeting of all institutions, including the army, judiciary, judges, and intellectuals, so that a national plan of action can be formulated.<\/p>\n

He said that the constitution should be stopped and the respect for the people’s vote should be kept above all else. Criticizing political legacy or family politics, it was said that the system should not be one where only sons or relatives come forward. He was speaking on ABN News’ program “Swal se Age”.<\/p>\n

He said that the September 27 meeting will focus on the agenda, not on personal issues, and if any obstacles arise due to allegations against the party’s founders, politics will become more difficult.<\/p>\n

He said that the voters of PTI are unhappy with the behavior of their leadership, but if the people come to the field to defend the constitution, the police should not block their way.<\/p>\n

In regional matters, he stressed trade and energy projects with Afghanistan, saying that gas, electricity, and petrol lines through Afghanistan are in the interest of Pakistan and that putting the Pashtun people against the wall can have dangerous consequences.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
