The court has asked for a report from the federal government.<\/p>\n<p>The petition was filed by the Judicial Activism Panel (JAP) via Advocate Azhar Siddique.<\/p>\n<p>The petitioner stated that, whereas petroleum product prices have declined in the global market, they have increased in Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>The government must define the method for raising and lowering petroleum product pricing.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the government of Pakistan announced the prices of\u00a0petroleum products\u00a0for the next 15 days.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been maintained, while the price of diesel has been increased by Rs 2.78 per liter.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has remained at Rs 264.61 per liter.<\/p>\n<p>After an increase of Rs 2.78 per liter, the new price of diesel has been fixed at Rs 272.77 per liter.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has set a hearing on a case about the rise in petroleum product prices.
