{"id":87606,"date":"2025-10-05T22:16:29","date_gmt":"2025-10-05T17:16:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=87606"},"modified":"2025-10-05T22:16:29","modified_gmt":"2025-10-05T17:16:29","slug":"cda-issues-show-cause-notice-to-housing-society-over-illegal-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/cda-issues-show-cause-notice-to-housing-society-over-illegal-development\/","title":{"rendered":"CDA issues show cause notice to housing society over illegal development"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD:<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/islamabad\/cda-announces-construction-of-cricket-stadium-in-islamabad\/\"> Capital Development Authority<\/a> (CDA) has served a show cause notice to Civilian Employees Cooperative Housing Society (CECHS) for illegal development on 585 kanals of land in Zone-5 without a compulsory Layout Plan (LOP) or No Objection Certificate (NOC).<\/p>\n<p>CDA ordered CECHS to suspend all work, marketing, sales, allotments, and plot transfers with immediate effect.<\/p>\n<p>The order also demanded the demolition and removal of illegal buildings within a ten-day timeframe, terming the ongoing operations illegal under current laws.<\/p>\n<p>The society is charged with starting development, marketing, sales, and allotments in Soan Garden, Block H-Extension in contravention of the CDA Ordinance 1960 and Islamabad&#8217;s zoning regulations.<\/p>\n<p>The notice cites April 2025 Islamabad High Court directives that no plot allotments can exceed the approved LOP.<\/p>\n<p>It emphasized that post-allotment conversion of street or plot numbers is not allowed, and societies cannot incorporate clauses for such conversions.<\/p>\n<p>CECHS has been provided seven days for a personal hearing to make its defense presentation. CDA threatened non-compliance with severe legal consequences: demolition, sealing of offices, denial of access, and referral to NAB or FIA.<\/p>\n<p>CDA also reserved the right to recover the costs of enforcement from the responsible parties.
