{"id":87644,"date":"2025-10-06T14:33:26","date_gmt":"2025-10-06T09:33:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=87644"},"modified":"2025-10-06T14:33:26","modified_gmt":"2025-10-06T09:33:26","slug":"toshakhana-2-case-nears-conclusion-as-witness-examination-ends","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/toshakhana-2-case-nears-conclusion-as-witness-examination-ends\/","title":{"rendered":"Toshakhana 2 case nears conclusion as witness examination ends"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The examination of the last prosecution witness in the Toshakhana 2 case against <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pti-nominates-moin-riaz-quershi-as-punjab-opposition-leader\/\">PTI<\/a> founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi has been completed.<\/p>\n<p>The court has given the accused a last chance to prove their innocence under 342.<\/p>\n<p>The hearing of the Toshakhana 2 case was held by Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand at Adiala Jail.<\/p>\n<p>PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were presented before the court.<\/p>\n<p>Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi have been provided with questionnaires under 342, on which a response has been sought at the next hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Imran Khan\u2019s lawyer Qousin Faisal Mufti completed the examination of the last prosecution witness, Mohsin Haroon.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecution informed the court in writing about the completion of the testimony.<\/p>\n<p>The questionnaires given to both have 29 questions each, and the court also allowed the accused to present witnesses in their defense.<\/p>\n<p>The defense lawyers will submit their answers to the questionnaire under Section 342 on October 8.<\/p>\n<p>The court has also given an opportunity to the lawyers of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi to consult with the accused.<\/p>\n<p>During the hearing, Senator Ali Zafar, Senator Mashal Yousafzai, Barrister Salman Akram Raja, KP government advisor Barrister Saif, and Imran Khan\u2019s three sisters were also present in the court.<\/p>\n<p>Federal prosecutors Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi and Bilal Butt, while special prosecutors Barristers Umair Majeed and Shahroz Gilani were also present in the court.
