{"id":88209,"date":"2025-10-13T12:46:06","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T07:46:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=88209"},"modified":"2025-10-13T12:46:06","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T07:46:06","slug":"pakistan-team-all-out-for-378-runs-in-first-inning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/sports\/pakistan-team-all-out-for-378-runs-in-first-inning\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan team all out for 378 runs in first inning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The second day\u2019s play is underway in the opening <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/sports\/pakistan-vs-south-africa-test-series-trophy-unveiled-in-lahore\/\">Test match<\/a> between Pakistan and South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan were bowled out for 378 in their first innings on the second day of the first Test against South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>In the match being played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan started their first incomplete innings at 313 for 5, with Mohammad Rizwan on 62 and Salman Ali Agha on 52.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed for 75 for a total of 362, after which Nauman Ali and Sajid Khan also returned to the pavilion without opening their accounts in the same over, all three players being dismissed by Senoran Muthusamy.<\/p>\n<p>Salman Ali Agha fell victim to a nervous ninety and was dismissed for 93 while Shaheen Shah Afridi was dismissed for 7.<\/p>\n<p>Muthusamy took 6 wickets for South Africa, while Perinlan Subrian took two wickets. Kagiso Rabada and Simon Harmer took one wicket each.<\/p>\n<p>South Africa resumed their first innings on Saturday with openers Aiden Markram and Ryan Rickelton at the crease. By the lunch break, the Proteas had reached 10 runs without loss in four overs.<\/p>\n<h2>Pak vs SA: First day<\/h2>\n<p>In the match being played at the Gaddafi Stadium, Pakistan captain Shan Masood won the toss and decided to bat first.<\/p>\n<p>Abdullah Shafiq and Imam-ul-Haq opened the innings for Pakistan, but Abdullah Shafiq scored only two runs and fell victim to Kagiso Rabada on the third ball.<\/p>\n<p>Captain Shan Masood and Imam-ul-Haq strengthened the team by putting on a partnership of 161 runs. Shan Masood was out for 76.<\/p>\n<p>Five minutes before the tea break, Imam-ul-Haq was caught out for 93, missing out on a century.
