NEW YORK: The United Nations<\/a> Pakistan has appointed renowned actress Hania Amir as its new National Goodwill Ambassador.<\/p>\n

According to the organization, Hania<\/a> will play an important role in spreading awareness for women\u2019s rights, equality, and empowerment.<\/p>\n

In a statement released on the social networking website Instagram, UN Women Pakistan said that UN Women Pakistan welcomes Hania Amir as a Goodwill Ambassador.<\/p>\n

The statement said that renowned actress Hania Amir will use her platform to empower, raise awareness and inspire women and girls across Pakistan.<\/p>\n

Hania Amir called equality and empowerment for women a top priority, saying that every girl should have the right to fulfill her dreams.<\/p>\n
