One died during the transfer to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Jail sources said that one prisoner, Mumtaz Iqbal, died while being transferred to the hospital. Mumtaz Iqbal was arrested in a drug case at Kallar Syedan \u200b\u200bpolice station.<\/p>\n<p>Jail sources said that the remaining 2 prisoners shifted to the hospital from Adiala Jail are accused in murder cases.<\/p>\n<p>An incident had also taken place in Adiala Jail in 2024 where 4 prisoners in the AIDS ward of the jail committed suicide by hanging themselves. This incident took place in the AIDS ward of Adiala Jail on the intervening night of December 1 and 2.<\/p>\n<p>The prison administration said that the deceased and the accused are AIDS patients and were confined in the AIDS ward.
