ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency<\/a> (FIA) has registered a case against several senior and junior officers of the National Cyber \u200b\u200bCrime Investigation Agency (NCCIA<\/a>) Lahore on serious charges of alleged corruption, misuse of authority and receiving huge amounts of bribe.<\/p>\n

According to sources, case number 219\/2025 was registered on the report of Assistant Director Syed Zainul Abidin in FIA Anti-Corruption Circle (ACC) Lahore.<\/p>\n

As per the report, officers of the National Cyber \u200b\u200bCrime Agency Lahore were involved in various inquiries, call centers, online fraud cases and receiving huge amounts of bribe from the accused and passing it on to the higher officers.<\/p>\n

During the inquiry, it was revealed that NCCIA Lahore arrested the the accused Saad-ur-Rehman<\/a> alias Ducky Bhai in a case.<\/p>\n

The investigation was handed over to Assistant Director Shoaib Riaz, who allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 6 million from the accused\u2019s wife, Arob Jatoi, in exchange for providing relief in the case. This money was received through Shoaib Riaz\u2019s close associates Usman and Salman Aziz (who is said to be Shoaib Riaz\u2019s front man).<\/p>\n

In addition, another Rs 3 million was collected in the form of cheques through Shahbaz (another front man of Shoaib) and the accused\u2019s lawyer Chaudhry Usman in order to send the accused Saad-ur-Rehman on judicial remand. Distribution of funds:<\/p>\n

According to the inquiry report, out of the total Rs 9 million bribe amount: Rs 5 million was kept by Shoaib Riaz in the Carzone showroom of a close friend of Zawar Ahmed Deputy Director, Rs 5 million by front man Usman Aziz, Rs 5 million by lawyer Chaudhry Usman, Rs 2 million by Shoaib Riaz himself, Rs 1.5 million was given to his front man, while Rs 1.05 million was delivered to Additional Director Sarfraz Chaudhry.<\/p>\n

It was further revealed that Shoaib Riaz, abusing his authority, transferred US$ 326,420 from the accused\u2019s bank accounts to his personal account via Binance.<\/p>\n

Organized network of corruption:<\/strong> According to the inquiry, several officers of NCCIA Lahore, including Yasir Ramzan (Sub-Inspector), Ali Raza (Sub-Inspector) and Mujtaba Zafar (Assistant Director), were receiving huge amounts of money on a monthly basis from various call centers, people involved in online fraud and other accused. They kept 50 percent of this money themselves while the remaining 50 percent was channeled to higher officers through officers at the Islamabad headquarters \u2014 Muhammad Usman, Deputy Director Operations, and Ayaz Khan, Deputy Director.<\/p>\n

Names of accused:<\/strong> The 9 officers and individuals named in the case include: Muhammad Sarfaraz Chaudhry \u2013 Additional Director NCCIA Lahore Zawar Ahmed \u2013 Deputy Director (Acting Charge) NCCIA Lahore Muhammad Usman \u2013 Deputy Director Operations, NCCIA Headquarters Islamabad Ayaz Khan \u2013 Deputy Director NCCIA Headquarters Islamabad Shoaib Riaz \u2013 Assistant Director NCCIA Lahore Mujtaba Zafar \u2013 Assistant Director NCCIA Lahore Yasir Ramzan \u2013 Sub-Inspector NCCIA Lahore Ali Raza \u2013 Sub-Inspector NCCIA Lahore Salman Aziz \u2013 Frontman Case registered and investigation initiated: The FIA \u200b\u200bhas registered a case against all the named accused under Section 5(2) PC Act 1947 and Sections 109, 161 of the Pakistan Penal Code.<\/p>\n

The investigation of the case has been entrusted to Assistant Director Syed Zainul Abideen. According to FIA officials, the role of other involved officers and private individuals will be determined during the investigation.<\/p>\n

According to sources, initial evidence shows that this network was spread from NCCIA Lahore to its headquarters in Islamabad, which, through various inquiries, allegedly received and distributed bribes worth crores of rupees.<\/p>\n

Agency\u2019s stance: So far, no official stance has been issued on this matter by the National Cyber \u200b\u200bCrime Investigation Agency or the Interior Ministry. However, according to FIA sources, \u201cthe investigations are being conducted purely on the basis of evidence, the position or influence of any officer will not be taken into account.\u201d<\/p>\n
