{"id":89577,"date":"2025-10-28T16:15:15","date_gmt":"2025-10-28T11:15:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=89577"},"modified":"2025-10-28T16:15:49","modified_gmt":"2025-10-28T11:15:49","slug":"punjab-to-ban-vehicles-without-green-stickers-after-deadline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/punjab-to-ban-vehicles-without-green-stickers-after-deadline\/","title":{"rendered":"Punjab to ban vehicles without &#8216;Green Stickers&#8217; after deadline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The Environmental Protection Agency of Punjab has decided to ban vehicles without <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/punjab-to-establish-eco-friendly-sticker-booths-at-lahore-islamabad-motorway\/\">Green Stickers<\/a>\u00a0after November 15 across the province as part of a crackdown against the causes of air pollution.<\/p>\n<p>Director General of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh, said that exhaust testing has been made mandatory for all vehicles in Lahore.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that from November 15, any vehicle found on the road without an Exhaust Testing System (ETS) certificate or a green sticker will be impounded.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Only vehicles meeting Punjab\u2019s environmental standards will be permitted to operate on the roads,&#8221; he added. The EPA has reminded motorists that both emissions and noise testing are compulsory.<\/p>\n<p>The DG Environment said that a zero-tolerance policy has been implemented against environmentally unfriendly vehicles, and vehicles not certified by ETS will face legal action and seizure.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Sheikh said that EPA Punjab has launched the toughest campaign against pollution in Lahore.
