{"id":89853,"date":"2025-10-30T17:49:11","date_gmt":"2025-10-30T12:49:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=89853"},"modified":"2025-10-30T17:49:11","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T12:49:11","slug":"pak-epa-seals-polluting-marble-factories-in-anti-smog-crackdown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pak-epa-seals-polluting-marble-factories-in-anti-smog-crackdown\/","title":{"rendered":"Pak-EPA seals polluting marble factories in Anti-Smog Crackdown"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD:\u00a0 In a major enforcement operation against industrial air pollution, the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA) in coordination with the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration, sealed several non-compliant marble factories operating near Sector B-17, Islamabad, for persistent violations of the Pakistan Environmental Protection Act, 1997, according to a press release issued here on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe action was part of Pak-EPA\u2019s ongoing campaign to curb smog and control dust emissions from marble and granite processing units, which were identified as significant contributors to deteriorating air quality in and around the federal capital,\u201d said Muhammad Saleem Shaikh, media spokesperson for the Ministry of Climate Change &amp;
