{"id":90290,"date":"2025-11-04T15:59:49","date_gmt":"2025-11-04T10:59:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=90290"},"modified":"2025-11-04T15:59:49","modified_gmt":"2025-11-04T10:59:49","slug":"2100-indian-sikh-pilgrims-reach-pakistan-for-guru-nanaks-birth-anniversary-celebrations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/2100-indian-sikh-pilgrims-reach-pakistan-for-guru-nanaks-birth-anniversary-celebrations\/","title":{"rendered":"2,100 Indian Sikh pilgrims reach Pakistan for Guru Nanak&#8217;s birth anniversary celebrations"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"article-content\">\n<p>LAHORE: As the 556th birth anniversary celebrations of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/three-day-local-holidays-in-nankana-for-guru-nanak-celebrations\/\">Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji<\/a> kick off in Nankana Sahib, at least 2,100 Sikh pilgrims from India have arrived in Pakistan to participate in the celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>As per details, the Pakistan High Commission has issued more than 2,100 visas to Indian Sikh pilgrims in the first major issuance since the clashes between India and Pakistan in May this year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&#8220;During their pilgrimage, the Sikh Yatrees (pilgrims) will pay homage at Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib, Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Hassan Abdal, and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Narowal,&#8221; the state-run <em>Radio Pakistan<\/em> reported on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>After their 10-day stay, the pilgrims will return to India on November 13.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-content\">\n<p>The main ceremony to mark the birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak will be held on November 5 at Gurdwara Janam Asthan, where federal and provincial ministers are expected to attend.<\/p>\n<p>All gurdwaras in Nankana Sahib, including the birthplace of Baba Guru Nanak, have been decorated with illuminated displays for the celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>Security and medical arrangements, including Rescue 1122 and ETPB medical teams, along with backup generators, have been put in place.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The pilgrims were warmly received at the Wagah border by Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Dr Sajid Mehmood Chauhan, Additional Secretary (Shrines) Nasir Mushtaq, and Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-content\">\n<p>Senior Sikh leaders, including Jathedar Akal Takht Kaldeep Singh Gargaj, SGPC group leader Bibi Gurinder Kaur, and Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee representative Ravinder Singh Sawhney, were also present.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article-content\">\n<p>Speaking on the occasion, Nasir Mushtaq said pilgrims are being provided accommodation, meals, transport, and medical facilities during their stay.
