{"id":91085,"date":"2025-11-12T19:10:22","date_gmt":"2025-11-12T14:10:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=91085"},"modified":"2025-11-12T19:10:22","modified_gmt":"2025-11-12T14:10:22","slug":"rawalpindi-gets-first-world-class-swimming-pool","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/rawalpindi-gets-first-world-class-swimming-pool\/","title":{"rendered":"Rawalpindi gets first world class swimming pool"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RAWALPINDI: The city of Rawalpindi has finally achieved a major sports milestone with the inauguration of its first-ever international-standard<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/sports\/haier-signs-new-partnerships-in-world-of-football-with-liverpool-football-club-and-paris-saint-germain\/\"> swimming pool<\/a> equipped with modern facilities.<\/p>\n<p>As per the details, the Punjab Minister for Sports, Faisal Ayub Khokhar, inaugurated a state-of-the-art swimming pool and the newly constructed players\u2019 hostel in the city.<\/p>\n<p>Khokhar, who spoke at the event, announced that a multipurpose sports complex would be established in Rawalpindi and said similar projects would be extended to other districts of the province.<\/p>\n<p>He said the players&#8217; hostel, completed for Rs 181 million, has a capacity of 80 beds, besides all modern residential and training facilities for athletes. The swimming pool, he said, has been constructed for Rs 217 million, having a modern water filtration system, heating mechanism, and timing system, meeting international competition standards.<\/p>\n<p>Khokhar highlighted the Punjab government&#8217;s vision and said the step was a reflection of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif&#8217;s commitment toward upgrading the sports infrastructure and uplifting athletic excellence across the province.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the Liaquat Bagh Sports Complex renovation was another reflection of the government&#8217;s resolve in the revival and modernization of sports facilities within Punjab.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RAWALPINDI: The city of Rawalpindi has finally achieved a major sports milestone with the inauguration of its first-ever international-standard swimming pool equipped with modern facilities.
