{"id":91503,"date":"2025-11-18T11:35:53","date_gmt":"2025-11-18T06:35:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=91503"},"modified":"2025-11-18T11:35:53","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T06:35:53","slug":"benazir-income-support-program-phase-ii-launched","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/benazir-income-support-program-phase-ii-launched\/","title":{"rendered":"Benazir Income Support Program phase II launched"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The government launched the BISP 8171 Phase-II, under which newly verified families shall receive a cash <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/benazir-kafaalat-2025-bisp-roll-out-phase-1-of-financial-support\/\">financial support<\/a> of Rs 13,500, as per a given district-wise schedule.<\/p>\n<p>The Pakistan Government has announced the Phase-II of BISP 8171 payments for November 2025, including thousands of newly verified families.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities have released a district-wise payment schedule, and beneficiaries can check the opening date of payments in their area.<\/p>\n<p>At this stage, each of the eligible families will be granted Rs 13,500. This will help low-income families tackle rising inflationary pressures.<\/p>\n<p>It would, according to the government, be an entirely transparent, direct payment system with no deductions. The disbursement will also be done only after biometric verification of the recipients.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) successfully opened ten million <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/minimum-nisab-for-zakat-deduction-in-bank-accounts-revealed-for-ramadan-2024\/\">bank accounts<\/a>\u00a0for its beneficiaries.<\/p>\n<p>These accounts are currently dormant, according to the reports, and will be activated the moment payments are to be dispatched to the beneficiaries.<\/p>\n<p>In a recent National Assembly Standing Committee meeting, chaired by MNA Lamm Ali Talpur on poverty alleviation, the authorities unveiled before members BISP\u2019s banking link-up progress.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, six banks are in partnership with BISP, and an attempt is being made to link all banks through the One-Link system to make transactions easy.<\/p>\n<p>The State Bank of Pakistan\u2019s Deputy Governor affirmed that the BISP recipients have access to withdraw money from any functional bank, with full access to regular banking facilities, such as remittances and deposits.<\/p>\n<p>Beneficiaries will be charged bank withdrawal fees ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 200, depending on the bank and mode of transaction.<\/p>\n<p>Primarily, this process shall not involve any agent to maintain transparency and minimize misuse.<\/p>\n<p>The Chairperson of BISP emphasized that digital payments remain a challenge, particularly for female beneficiaries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The government launched the BISP 8171 Phase-II, under which newly verified families shall receive a cash financial support of Rs 13,500, as per a given district-wise schedule.
