{"id":91523,"date":"2025-11-18T16:07:33","date_gmt":"2025-11-18T11:07:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=91523"},"modified":"2025-11-18T16:07:33","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T11:07:33","slug":"federal-government-finalizes-new-textile-policy-draft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/federal-government-finalizes-new-textile-policy-draft\/","title":{"rendered":"Federal government finalizes new textile policy draft"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: (Rizwan Abbasi) The Ministry of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/commerce-ministry-shifts-blame-to-exporters-for-unfit-rice-exports-to-eu\/\">Commerce<\/a>\u00a0has prepared a draft of the new five-year 2025-30 Textile and Apparel Policy, under which a target of increasing the country\u2019s textile and garment exports by 64 percent over the next five years has been proposed.<\/p>\n<p>According to the draft, textile exports are planned to reach $29.38 billion by 2029-30, while in the previous fiscal year 2024-25, these exports were $17.88 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The textile export target for the current fiscal year has been proposed to be $19.37 billion. The draft policy also presents export targets for the coming years, according to which $21.42 billion for 2026-27, $23.74 billion for 2027-28 and $26.71 billion for 2028-29.<\/p>\n<p>The new policy emphasizes promoting \u2018Made in Pakistan\u2019, reducing business costs and providing a conducive business environment for industrialists.<\/p>\n<p>Increasing the use of value-added products and local raw materials has also been declared an important part of the policy.<\/p>\n<p>The final approval of the Textile and Apparel Policy will be taken from the federal cabinet, while it is likely to be presented in the ECC meeting before that.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: (Rizwan Abbasi) The Ministry of Commerce\u00a0has prepared a draft of the new five-year 2025-30 Textile and Apparel Policy, under which a target of increasing the country\u2019s textile and garment exports by 64 percent over the next five years has been proposed.
