{"id":91791,"date":"2025-11-21T21:58:24","date_gmt":"2025-11-21T16:58:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=91791"},"modified":"2025-11-21T21:58:24","modified_gmt":"2025-11-21T16:58:24","slug":"punjab-govt-to-give-electric-vehicles-to-women","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/punjab-govt-to-give-electric-vehicles-to-women\/","title":{"rendered":"Punjab govt to give electric vehicles to women"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to alter the distribution formula of the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/punjab-free-e-taxi-scheme-2025-balloting-date-announced\/\">electric taxi scheme<\/a>, and for the first time, women will also be provided a share in the eco-friendly electric taxi scheme.<\/p>\n<p>For women, 100 electric vehicles will be provided through a belting system, while 200 electric vehicles are to be distributed among male taxi drivers.<\/p>\n<p>While the Punjab government will provide 800 vehicles to corporate taxi operators, 100 electric vehicles were to be provided on an individual basis to the citizens.
