Hearings are <span class=\"diff-highlight\">set<\/span> to <span class=\"diff-highlight\">restart<\/span> on January 5, 2026.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">Based<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">on<\/span> the official notification, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> court<span class=\"diff-highlight\">&#8216;<\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">s<\/span> offices will <span class=\"diff-highlight\">be<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">open<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">throughout<\/span> the vacation period, and hearings for urgent and previously scheduled cases will <span class=\"diff-highlight\">proceed<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Constitutional Court was established under the 27th Constitutional Amendment <span class=\"diff-highlight\">for<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">purpose<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">of<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">enhancing<\/span> Pakistan\u2019s judicial system and the protection of constitutional rights.<\/p>\n<p>The primary <span class=\"diff-highlight\">duty<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">of<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">court<\/span> is to interpret the Constitution and <span class=\"diff-highlight\">adjudicate<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">constitutional<\/span> disputes<span class=\"diff-highlight\">.<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">The<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">Chief<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">Justice<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">is<\/span> Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan. Other judges <span class=\"diff-highlight\">are<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">Justices<\/span> Hasan Azhar Rizvi, Amir Farooq, Ali Baqar Najafi, Karim Khan Agha, Rozi Khan Brech, and Arshad Hussain Shah.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">According<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">to<\/span> the <span class=\"diff-highlight\">website<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">of<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">court<\/span>, Chief Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan <span class=\"diff-highlight\">viewed<\/span> the <span class=\"diff-highlight\">founding<\/span> of the FCC as <span class=\"diff-highlight\">important<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">to<\/span> Pakistan\u2019s constitutional <span class=\"diff-highlight\">history<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>He <span class=\"diff-highlight\">noted<\/span> the court<span class=\"diff-highlight\">&#8216;<\/span>s <span class=\"diff-highlight\">role<\/span> is to <span class=\"diff-highlight\">interpret<\/span> the Constitution <span class=\"diff-highlight\">in<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">an<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">independent<\/span>, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">fair<\/span>, and <span class=\"diff-highlight\">integrated<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">manner<\/span>, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">advocating<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">for<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">basic<\/span> rights and <span class=\"diff-highlight\">providing<\/span> stability, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">balance<\/span>, and <span class=\"diff-highlight\">justice<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">in<\/span> state institutions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: On Monday, the Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) publicized its winter vacation dates, when it will be closed from December 22, 2025, to January 4, 2026.
