{"id":92401,"date":"2025-11-29T12:00:43","date_gmt":"2025-11-29T07:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=92401"},"modified":"2025-11-29T12:00:43","modified_gmt":"2025-11-29T07:00:43","slug":"e-challan-to-be-initiated-in-two-more-cities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/e-challan-to-be-initiated-in-two-more-cities\/","title":{"rendered":"E-challan to be initiated in two more cities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: Sindh has expanded the e-challan system beyond <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/karachi-fixes-fresh-milk-prices\/\">Karachi<\/a> to 2 more major cities of Sindh (Sukkur and Hyderabad) in a move aimed at improving traffic regulation across the province.<\/p>\n<p>Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar said that driving licenses are also being checked in these cities.<\/p>\n<p>He acknowledged that \u201ccomputer system errors can occur,\u201d adding that the government\u2019s intentions are clear and focused on improving the traffic management system.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Karachi Traffic Police reported that more than Rs710 million were collected from e-challans in just one month.<\/p>\n<p>According to the detailed report, over 93,000 e-challans were generated in Karachi.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Karachi also recorded 1,278 challans for fancy number plates and 1,178 for tinted windows, together amounting to over Rs29.4 million in fines.<\/p>\n<p>Other violations included 611 challans for stop-line breaches and 426 for wrong-way driving.
