{"id":92769,"date":"2025-12-03T14:09:02","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T09:09:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=92769"},"modified":"2025-12-03T14:10:14","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T09:10:14","slug":"karachi-hits-single-digit-temps-in-winter-cold-wave","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/karachi-hits-single-digit-temps-in-winter-cold-wave\/","title":{"rendered":"Karachi weather update: Capital city hits single-digit temps!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: For the residents of the metropolis, who for the most part of the year witness warm <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pakistan-weather-update-pmd-predicts-cold-dry-weather-in-most-parts-of-the-country\/\">weather<\/a> conditions, are now experiencing a notable decrease in temperature with mercury dropping down to single digits in the city to essentially mark the arrival of short-lived winter for Karachiites.<\/p>\n<p>As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the temperature at Karachi&#8217;s Jinnah Terminal and in the surrounding areas was recorded at 8.9 degrees Celsius.<\/p>\n<p>The Met Office has further said that the weather in Karachi is likely to remain dry and cool at night during the next 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p>With humidity levels currently at 42%, the maximum temperature is expected to go up to 28\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>The PMD added that cool winds were blowing in the city from northeast at three kilometres per hour and the minimum temperature was recorded at 12.5\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Quetta and its surrounding areas, have reported extremely cold and dry weather with mercury dropping below the freezing point and recorded as low as -6\u00b0C in Balochistan&#8217;s capital.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: For the residents of the metropolis, who for the most part of the year witness warm weather conditions, are now experiencing a notable decrease in temperature with mercury dropping down to single digits in the city to essentially mark the arrival of short-lived winter for Karachiites.
