This rally pushed the index to a record high of 170,862 points for the first time in the country\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p>At the close of the previous trading week, the index had settled at 169,865 points.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the downward trend in the value of the US dollar continued.
