FAISALABAD: Immigration authorities have stepped up the process of examining the details of travelers. It has been confirmed that the number of passengers offloaded within the Faisalabad region is 946. This is because the necessary documents are absent.<\/p>\n
According to officials of the Federal Investigation Agency, passengers traveling abroad must now exercise more caution. They clarified that passengers with incomplete documentation, ambiguous travel purposes, or poor profiles end up being offloaded at airports.<\/p>\n
As per reports, FIA offloads passengers. A large number of passengers traveling to Faisalabad possess tourist and Umrah visas; however, they do not possess any documentation, including hotel reservations and return tickets. As a result, immigration officials offload passengers to avoid illegal travel.<\/p>\n
“There have been cases in the past few years involving Pakistani citizens who either died or were arrested for attempting to illegally enter other countries after traveling on visit visas or Umrah visas,” said officials of the FIA.<\/p>\n
Consequently, the deportation of citizens from other countries has marred the integrity of the green passport of Pakistan. Authorities have warned that deporting even a few people can have larger implications.
