{"id":95374,"date":"2025-12-26T17:02:56","date_gmt":"2025-12-26T12:02:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=95374"},"modified":"2025-12-26T17:02:56","modified_gmt":"2025-12-26T12:02:56","slug":"universities-in-islamabad-postpone-exams-amid-shaheen-chowk-underpass-construction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/universities-in-islamabad-postpone-exams-amid-shaheen-chowk-underpass-construction\/","title":{"rendered":"Universities in Islamabad postpone exams amid Shaheen Chowk underpass construction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Examinations that were scheduled for major universities in Islamabad have been postponed due to the closure of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/kp-cm-sohail-khan-afridi-vows-to-march-to-d-chowk\/\">Shaheen Chowk<\/a> because of the construction of the underpass that is still taking place.<\/p>\n<p>Students of Bahria University and Air University received SMS notifications from their respective universities, saying that the exams scheduled on December 27 and 28 have been deferred.<\/p>\n<p>As per the notifications, the decision has been made because of restricted access around Shaheen Chowk, with the dates to be announced later.<br \/>\n&#8220;Notification Regarding Rescheduling Meeting Due to Restricted Access at Shaheen Chowk:<br \/>\nIt has been decided to reschedule the<\/p>\n<p>Though the notifications have been sent directly to students, as of yet, no declaration has been forthcoming from the respective universities, adding to the confusion for the hopefuls. Many students have shown ire towards this abrupt postponement, terming it an abrupt disruption to preparation plans, pushing semester breaks.<\/p>\n<p>This comes at a time when the construction of the Shaheen Chowk underpass has finally entered its last phase.
