Tonight I will address our people at 10:00pm giving them our way forward for a sovereign Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Imran Khan (@ImranKhanPTI) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ImranKhanPTI\/status\/1552220666392371201?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 27, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Earlier on Tuesday, the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan declared Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Dost Muhammad Mazari\u2019s ruling in the Punjab Chief Minister election &#8220;illegal&#8221; and ruled that Pervaiz Elahi will be the new Punjab Chief Minister.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Deputy Speaker\u2019s ruling is illegal. There is no legal justification for the Deputy Speaker\u2019s ruling,&#8221; said the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov.pk\/\">Supreme Court<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The court ordered the Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman to administer the oath to Pervaiz Elahi at 11:30pm. In case the Punjab governor does not administer the oath to Elahi, President Dr Arif Alvi can do so instead, the court ruled.
